Farm: Finca La Candelilla sits in the picturesque Tarrazú region of Costa Rica at altitudes ranging from about 1,300 to 1,600 meters. It’s owned and operated by the Sánchez family, who have cultivated a solid reputation for producing specialty coffee that reflects the area’s microclimate. Interesting Fact: “Gesha” is named after a region in southwestern Ethiopia where the coffee variety was first collected. It’s known for its bright acidity and floral aroma, making it highly sought after. The spelling “Geisha” sometimes appears, causing confusion with the Japanese word, but “Gesha” preserves its true Ethiopian origin.
